Job Posting: Senior Accountant
Pay Range: $40-$48/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team, reporting to the Controller or Accounting Manager. This role involves managing a variety of advanced accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial data and operations in alignment with company policies and GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with creating monthly and annual financial statements and reports to support management decisions.
• Facilitate month-end and year-end close processes for timely and accurate reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany balances.
• Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis, highlighting trends and variances.
• Collaborate on audits by providing necessary documents and explanations.
• Lead process improvements within accounting systems and cross-functional projects.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Work on system enhancements and integrations, particularly within QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Prepare sales commission and sales tax reports in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or CPA track).
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and NetSuite;
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
